Allan Harris and I have been performing together at many clubs and concerts since 1995 and recorded our first album "Laid Back" in 1997. A new project idea came up last year during a flight to Antalya for a concert. We decided on the song list on our way to the hotel. We finalized the contents of the album during the rehearsals in New York on April 12th, 2007 and after a four hour session at the studio on April 13th, we finished the recording of the 16 pieces. After a full day of mixing and mastering, I returned to Istanbul with my master CD.
With my piano, I joined in Allan Harris' evocative interpretation of these 16 pieces whose stories span the three decaded from the 40s to the 60s. That's the short story of this album...
